Merseburg University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1992. As a center for applied sciences in southern Saxony-Anhalt, it continues the more than 60-year tradition of teaching and research on the Merseburg campus.

The three departments of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Economics and Information Sciences, and Social Work, Media, and Culture offer 19 Bachelor's and 11 Master's degree programs.

Thanks to its strong practical focus in both studies and research, Merseburg University of Applied Sciences has established itself as a competent partner for companies in knowledge and technology transfer.

The Competence Network for Applied and Transfer-Oriented Research (KAT) offers comprehensive support, especially to smaller regional companies, in initiating and conducting research collaborations.

The Halle-Merseburg Plastics Competence Center (KKZ) on campus combines the plastics-specific expertise and resources of Merseburg University of Applied Sciences and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

The HoMe Academy provides companies, professionals (with and without university entrance qualifications), students, and university staff with access to diverse continuing education opportunities.

Students and alumni can find advice, information, training, and practical contacts at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences Career Service.
